Oslo --The Norwegian government is sending a medical team to Italy to assist the local hospitals in the Lombardy region.
The decision was called by Norwegian health minister Bent Høie as "solidarity in practice."
It was reported by Norwegian broadcaster NRK that the team of 22 including 19 doctors and 3 logistic workers will be sent to the Lombardy region to assist local hospitals in Bergamo for four weeks.
The sending of medical personnel was in response to Italian government's request sent last Tuesday.
