COMELEC proclaims 12 winning senators: Duterte allies top the race; Aquino and Pangilinan, surprise top 5

Manila. - Duterte allies, four pairs of siblings, dynasts and come-backing opposition senators, were proclaimed by the Commission on Elections on Saturday, May 17, five days after the mid-term polls at the Tent City, Manila Hotel.
Based on the National Certificate of Canvass, re-electionist Senator and close Duterte ally, Bong Go, topped with 27, 121, 073 votes, followed by opposition Bam Aquino of Liberal party who garnered 20, 971, 899 votes.
Former Duterte police chief and drug war implementor, Bato Dela Rosa came in third with 20, 773, 946 votes. Broadcast journalist and Marcos Jr candidate, Erwin Tulfo, settled at fourth winning 17, 118, 881 votes.
Former vice presidential candidate and opposition, Kiko Pangilinan like Aquino, staged a surprise comeback and cut through half of the top 12 with 15, 343, 229 votes.
The results saw four sets of siblings.
Erwin joins brother Raffy, and so do Camille with brother Mark, Pia with brother Alan Peter Cayetano along with half-brothers and incumbent senators , JV Ejercito and Jinggoy Ejercito Estrada.
All siblings also belong to political clans.
Comelec Chairperson George Erwin Garcia read the certificates of proclamation which contained the official voting count for the senators-elect.
The Comelec completed the canvassing of 175 Certificates of Canvass three days after the elections, the fastest in history.
Here are the votes gathered by the top 12 senators-elect:

3. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa, PDP-Laban 20,733,946
4. Erwin Tulfo, Lakas 17,118,881
5. Kiko Pangilinan, Liberal Party 15,343,229
6. Rodante Marcoleta, Independent 15,250,723
7. Ping Lacson, Independent 15, 106, 111
8. Tito Sotto, NPC 14, 832, 996
9. Pia Cayetano, Nacionalista Party 14,573,430
10. Camille Villar, Nacionalista Party 13,651,274
11. Lito Lapid, NPC 13,394,102
12. Imee Marcos, Nacionalista 13, 339,227
All 11 newly-elected Senators attended the proclamation except for Senator Kiko Pangilinan who attended his daughter´s graduation in the United States.
The proclamation of the winning senators was held at the Tent City of the historic Manila Hotel, May 17 at 3 PM.
